(I'm not sure who first put it exactly this way; I heard it from consultant De Hicks, though I'm not sure if that is his explanation, or if he was quoting someone else.)
I like this comment by Bill Gates: “As we look ahead into the next century, leaders will be those who empower others." I believe leaders have compelling vision. They regularly develop courage to innovate and aren't afraid to go out on a limb to experiment with an idea. They earnestly learn from mistakes and set examples for others to face challenges, learn from them and apply new wisdom to new ventures.
